OTTAWA, Canada, May 25, 2005 — QNX Software Systems today announced that CFO Jennifer Camelon has been named a 2005 “Forty Under 40” Award recipient by the Ottawa Business Journal. The ninth annual awards program honors individuals throughout the Ottawa business community that embody the region’s entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen, while at the same time balancing community and charitable involvement.

At QNX, Camelon is responsible for all aspects of corporate financial governance, financial accounting, information technology services, corporate systems, facilities and administration, and production. Her expertise and leadership skills have proven vital to the success of the company, which was acquired by Harman International in October of 2004 for CAD $165 million. Camelon played a central role in the negotiation of the sale, working closely with the Chairman, CEO, and CFO of Harman International and acting as the prime commercial terms negotiator.

“This year has been an exciting year for QNX and for me personally,” said Camelon. “We completed the successful acquisition with Harman and most recently celebrated the company’s 25th anniversary — a major milestone in the software industry. It is an honor to be recognized by the Ottawa Business Journal, and I thank my family, colleagues, and friends for their support.”

Each year, 40 top business leaders under the age of 40 are selected by an independent judging panel assembled by the Ottawa Business Journal. Nominees are judged on their professional accomplishments, professional recognition, and community and charitable involvement.

Camelon and other recipients of the 2005 "Forty Under 40” Award will be recognized at a gala reception at the Ottawa Congress Centre on June 20.
