Overview

QNX In-Car Communication (ICC) provides enhanced presence for the voice in the car. Using existing car microphones and speakers, passenger and driver voices are extracted, amplified, clarified, and reinforced for the benefit of other passengers in the vehicle.

QNX ICC may also be extended for entertainment purposes (e.g. karaoke) with the use of further amplification and effects.

  • One-to-many zones, with up to four zones currently supported; including the most common mode: Front-to-back and back-to-front communication
  • Noise-dependent and media-dependent reinforcement gain
  • Isolated output from each zone
  • API for tuning of parameters
  • Extremely low latency; 2ms frame rate
  • Audio bandwidth of 8 kHz
  • Self-reinforcement modes available (real time Karaoke effects)
