Freescale Semiconductor and QNX Software Systems expand relationship for QorIQ and PowerQUICC processors

Strategic alliance to focus on embedded solutions for medical and industrial automation markets

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Freescale Technology Forum 2011) — June 22, 2011 — QNX Software Systems Limited, a global leader in operating systems and middleware for connected embedded systems, and embedded processing leader Freescale Semiconductor [NYSE: FSL] have agreed to collaborate on the development of solutions for Freescale’s industry-leading QorlQ and PowerQUICC processor families.
