OTTAWA, April 30, 2008 — QNX Software Systems today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Sightsys Ltd. to serve the growing number of QNX customers in the Israeli technology market. As a premier manufacturer’s representative in Israel, Sightsys has a proven track record in delivering sales and technical services for some of the most popular products used in embedded development.

As part of the QNX Solutions Network, Sightsys will distribute and support the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system (RTOS), the QNX Momentics® development suite, and the QNX Aviage® family of middleware products.

With this agreement, the QNX Neutrino RTOS joins a rich portfolio of complementary software products and embedded computing development tools already offered by Sightsys.

“The Israeli high-technology market is growing at an astonishing rate, and most companies consider one or more Sightsys technologies for every new project. Thus, I am very excited about the potential number of new customers to which Sightsys will introduce QNX technology,” said Larry Atkinson, distribution manager, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region, QNX Software Systems.

“The QNX Neutrino RTOS is a small, fast, highly reliable operating system with advanced memory protection, symmetric multiprocessing for multi-core processors, and support for the most popular chipsets in the Israeli embedded market, including ARM, MIPS, PowerPC, and x86. Together, these capabilities provide our customers with a compelling solution that fits perfectly into our product and services portfolio,” said Zvika Almog, general manager, Sightsys. “We are excited about offering QNX technology to our customers and look forward to partnering with them in building successful projects on this strong platform.”
