QNX Names Ken Dumont Vice President of Worldwide Sales

    OTTAWA, Canada, November 4, 2008 — QNX Software Systems today announced the appointment of Ken Dumont as vice president of worldwide sales. In this role, Mr. Dumont will be responsible for QNX Software Systems’ worldwide sales and services, including both direct and distribution sales. He will report directly to Dan Dodge, CEO of QNX Software Systems.

    Mr. Dumont previously served as the director of North America sales for QNX. Under his leadership, the company’s North American sales exceeded corporate targets, growing 20 percent annually. He also played a fundamental role in the development of the company’s worldwide sales and marketing initiatives, including go-to-market strategies, product roadmaps, pricing, and compensation. Mr. Dumont also led an initiative focused on the company’s largest accounts that resulted in increased loyalty, improved communications, and exponential revenue growth.

    Before joining QNX, Mr. Dumont was director of enterprise solutions at Siemens Canada Ltd., where he was responsible for all business development, marketing, sales, and support activities created to establish Siemens as a major player in the Canadian enterprise communications market.

    Prior to his work at Siemens, Mr. Dumont held various sales and marketing management roles at Mitel Corporation. During his nearly two-decade tenure at Mitel, the programs he spearheaded for the company’s systems products resulted in sales and profit growth of more than 20 percent per year. Mr. Dumont earned an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
