OTTAWA, June 20, 2012 QNX Software Systems Limited, a global leader in embedded software and a subsidiary of Research In Motion Limited (RIM), today announced that Dan Cardamore, the companys director of advanced technologies, has earned a place on the Ottawa Business Journals prestigious Forty Under 40 list.
As director of advanced technologies, Cardamore is responsible for QNX Software Systems product prototyping and research activities. He played an instrumental role in the development of the BlackBerry® PlayBook OS and its highly popular software update (2.0) released this year. As part of this software update, Dan spearheaded the development of product features native email, calendar, and contacts that rounded out the BlackBerry PlayBook tablets rich web, multimedia, and multitasking capabilities. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Carleton University.
