Skoda Becomes Latest Company to Join QNX OEM Innovations Program

    OTTAWA, Canada, April 1, 2008 — QNX Software Systems, the leading supplier of embedded operating systems, middleware, and development tools for car infotainment and telematics applications, today announced that Czech automaker Skoda Auto has become the latest member of the QNX OEM Innovations Lab (OIL) program, which provides leading-edge technology to the advanced design centers of automobile manufacturers around the world.

    With this collaboration, Skoda will leverage QNX technologies to develop the latest innovations in telematics and in-car infotainment systems including navigation, advanced radio, and multimedia systems. As a member of the OIL program, Skoda will have access to QNX’s full suite of development software tools, including the QNX® Neutrino® operating system, the QNX® Aviage® multimedia suite, and value-added components such as technology development kits, board support packages, and source code.

    In-car Infotainment and the OIL Program
