QNX Expands Operations in Asia

    OTTAWA, October 31, 2005 — QNX Software Systems today announced the expansion of its operations in Asia with the opening of a technical office in Seoul, Korea to meet the needs of its automotive customers. As a result of this expansion, the company has hired Mr. Soon-won Kim to serve as a field consulting engineer in Asia.

    In his new role, Mr. Kim will enhance QNX’s customer and partner relationships in Korea by offering various consulting and training services. Mr. Kim has extensive experience as a senior engineer, using the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system to design both system-level and application-level software for automotive in-cab systems. The software he has developed can be found today in various vehicle production programs. Mr. Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Korea University in Seoul and a master’s degree in computer science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
