QNX Cabin
Discover the power of cloud-based development, enabling flexible, scalable, and future-proof solutions for automotive. QNX consolidates various in-vehicle systems into a unified cockpit domain, utilizing QNX® Hypervisor and VirtIO for running multiple mixed-criticality systems on a single system-on-a-chip design. Including:

QNX Coming to Microsoft Azure
QNX announced it is collaborating with Microsoft at CES 2025 to make it easier for automakers to build, test, and refine software within the cloud, accelerating the development of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). QNX Software Development Platform (SDP) 8.0 will soon be available on Microsoft Azure, providing developers with a robust and proven cloud environment to create, test, and integrate the software that will power next-generation automotive and Internet of Things applications, as part of this collaboration.
QNX, Vector and TTTech Auto Join Forces
QNX, Vector, and TTTech Auto announced a multi-year, global undertaking to collaborate, develop and market a foundational vehicle software platform at CES 2025. The goal is to end the cumbersome and costly software integration process, empowering automakers to focus on delivering innovative consumer-facing applications that build brand loyalty, differentiation, and value. The vehicle platform being built is pre-integrated, lightweight, and certified to the automotive industry’s highest functional safety (ISO 26262 ASIL D) and security (ISO 21434) standards.
MotionWise Schedule for QNX SDP 8.0
MotionWise Schedule for QNX® Software Development Platform (SDP) 8.0 accelerates software development for automakers building SDVs and helps to enable the safe, real-time execution of applications running on QNX® SDP 8, providing a high-performance runtime environment with deterministic task scheduling. This enables optimized resource utilization and is supported by a correct-by-design tool-suite, significantly reducing design and configuration efforts for the embedded runtime. MotionWise Schedule for QNX simplifies the daily work of software developers. New software applications can be added incrementally without compromising quality, meaning the time to bring new software to market is significantly reduced, drastically cutting the cost of new vehicle projects.
IVY within QNX Cabin for Cloud
IVY’s integration within QNX Cabin for Cloud empowers OEMs to innovate with virtual vehicle diagnostics, in-cabin sensing, and vehicle health monitoring. Including FlexConnect in-cabin sensing and DriveSense deployment, with AWS and Mitsubishi Electric, and SmartWEAR tire wear prediction, with Michelin, highlighting IVY’s ability to deliver high-value features and services, including:
- Hardware Abstraction: Virtualization through QNX allows applications to run on virtual ECUs, reducing dependency on specific hardware.
- Seamless Cloud Integration: Facilitates cloud-based development and deployment, enabling rapid innovation and supporting OEM digital twin strategies.
- Scalability and Ecosystem Integration: Designed to grow with evolving technologies, supporting third-party solutions like Driver Monitoring Systems.
QNX Sound
QNX® Sound is a holistic software environment that manages the entire vehicle soundscape—including hundreds of interactions between hands-free calling, multi-zone wake-up word and command, in-car communications, safety alerts, noise reduction, sound generation, and media playback—accessible from a cloud-enabled tool suite with a graphical programming interface for endless signal processing creativity.
