Webinar: Managing the Complexity of Automotive Acoustics
Summary
The automotive acoustic experience has become a defining characteristic of vehicle ownership. This experience is created using a complex sound system that includes transducers, wire harnesses, amplifiers, multiple digital signal processors (DSPs), source units, and many in-demand end-user features for sound control and sound manipulation. Given the sophistication of sound systems within today’s vehicles, how do automobile manufacturers manage their complexity, especially when combining Android-based source units, the use of mobile devices and requirements for safety. This presentation will discuss a holistic and scalable design for sound management using the QNX Acoustics Management Platform.
Join us to learn how the hundreds of interactions between hands-free calling, multi-zone wakeup word and command, in-car communications, safety alerts, sound reduction and generation and safety chime/alerts can be managed when a holistic software environment manages the vehicle soundscape.
A special focus of this discussion will be on acoustic processing using the Hexagon™ DSP on Qualcomm™ hardware.
