A Legacy of Dependable Partnership
Our journey into space was forged through partnership. Over a decade ago, QNX collaborated with Neptec to engineer the vision systems for NASA's Space Shuttle program. The challenge was immense: deliver flawless, real-time performance for critical inspection cameras in an environment where failure is not an option.
The QNX RTOS was the solution. It provided the cast-iron reliability needed to guide the Canadarm on the International Space Station and to ensure the safety of astronauts during the 2005 "Return to Flight" mission. The system was also chosen to operate the Canadian-built robotic arm on both the space shuttle and the International Space Station. We provided the dependable foundation, simplifying our partner's complex technical challenge so they could focus on their mission. That’s what a dependable partner does.
Powering NASA's Next Leap Forward
Today, our role is more integral than ever. NASA’s Core Flight System (CFS), the reusable software framework powering over 40 of its missions, including the Roman Space Telescope, now officially supports QNX Software Development Platform (SDP) 8.0.
This integration is a testament to precision-engineered performance.
It offers NASA’s engineers a future-proof platform that delivers the performance, security, and scalability needed for the next generation of space exploration. By providing this trusted foundation, we enable NASA's visionaries to solve problems that make the world better, safer, and more productive.
Your Answer to Complexity Starts Here
